McHugh & Devine EPK

Emerald Hills

Bio

McHugh (Donegal, Ireland) and Devine (New City, New York) met in early 2014 though West Coast Songwriters in San Francisco, CA. Both new to the scene at the time, they began writing songs together and performing as a duo throughout the Bay Area. As the songwriting evolved so did the duo’s live sound. Fast forward three years later and you can find McHugh & Devine touring throughout California as a 4-piece band that features Tim Connor on drums (Pine Barrens, NJ) and Sam Miller on bass (Redwood City, CA).

Constantly genre hopping, the band’s live show is captivating. And it all stems from the duo’s synergy. While Devine leads the way with smokey lead vocals, McHugh carries the band as he switches instruments nearly every song. Now add Tim Connor’s beach driven drums and Sam Miller’s deep bass. What you get is an original, upbeat sound featuring a three part harmony… it’s modern folk/rock with a nostalgic twist.

McHugh & Devine just released their debut album, Emerald Hills on November 19th, 2016. The album is currently available on iTunes and Spotify.

In 2015, the duo placed 2nd in the West Coast Songwriters International Song Contest for their single “Flame”. They also released a self-produced EP titled The Movie Blues which is available online as well.
